NORTHEAST GRAD FALL RETREAT 2020 - OVERVIEW
Need a personal spiritual retreat? Need to recenter on God in these are crazy days but don't know how to do it?
In the midst of the uncertainty and turmoil, we invite you to take 24 hours over the long weekend in October to turn to God with our Longings for Wholeness, for healing, for meaning and purpose, and for peace. The book of Ruth will be our guide as we explore how God meets us with lovingkindness in the range of ways we long for wholeness— in grief and loss, in our work and relationships, in societal division and injustice, in loneliness and transition.
Join us online and offline with other graduate students across the Northeast to worship God, hang out with our small group, and learn about how faith, our longings, our work, and justice intersect. We will have two virtual large group together times, a guided morning quiet time, small groups by schools and an optional one-on-one prayer ministry time. We will also have an afternoon seminar to hear from Christians in the workplace about how they integrate their faith with their work. You'll also receive a care package in the mail!
This is a new endeavor! We haven't done a virtual retreat together before. But we pray that it would be an opportunity in these covid days to bring us all together and be blessed.
When: The retreat starts at 7pm ET on Friday, Oct. 9th and ends Saturday, Oct 10th at 6pm ET. Keep in mind, Mon. Oct 12 is a holiday, so there will be plenty of time to catch up on work later. :) Check out the retreat schedule at the bottom for details.
Registration Fee: $15. If you are a student who does not live in the US, you do not need to pay a registration fee.
We do not want money to get in the way of anyone attending. If you would like to find out about scholarship opportunities, please contact your school's InterVarsity Staff before you register. If you don't know who your staff is, you can email the registrar.
Questions? If you have any questions, feel free to contact the registrar.
