- CONNECT with fellow grad students 📚 from across Boston 🏙️ (including Harvard, MIT, Boston University, Boston College, Northeastern, Brandeis, Tufts, Hult, Babson, and more)!
- RECHARGE through rest 💤 and recreation, both indoor (games ♟️, pumpkin carving 🎃, table tennis 🏓, foosball ⚽︎) and outdoor (hiking 🥾, canoeing/kayaking 🛶, volleyball 🏐, soccer 🥅, basketball 🏀, s'mores 🍫🍪 over a bonfire 🔥)!
- GROW your vision as we explore how God's love ❤️ transforms and empowers 💪🏼 our time in grad school - we'll do this through worship 🎶, Bible study 📖, small group discussion 🗣️, and teaching 🎤!

- WHEN: FRI Oct 10 (depart Boston ~6pm) to SUN Oct 12 (return ~2:30pm)
- WHERE: Toah Nipi Retreat Center (Rindge, NH)
- WHO: Graduate students/post-docs of Boston schools.
- YOU MUST BE AN ACTIVE STUDENT TO REGISTER
- WHAT: Registration includes housing, meals, and transportation to NH.
- Cost: $125
- Non-refundable deposit of $25, balance charged Oct. 1
HOUSING?
Toah Nipi has dorm-style bunkbed housing; most rooms have 8-25 people, which will be assigned as all-male and all-female rooms.
- All housing has bathrooms (toilets, shower, running water), electricity, and heating.
- Married couples and families can indicate preference for a private room but these are based on availability and not guaranteed. Note that there is NO childcare or separate children's program. Parents are responsible for the care of their child at all times.
TRANSPORTATION?
Expect an e-mail on the week of retreat with a signup form for bus/student car spaces.
- Buses depart around 6pm from various locations (e.g., BU, MIT, Harvard)
- Students can volunteer to drive, and drive others! Drivers and passengers will be informed to coordinate pickup/departure with each other (the staff do our best to assign passengers logically based upon driver details / time and locations).
PACKING?
- DINNER ON FRIDAY NIGHT: Eat before, bring your own food/meal to eat on bus, or coordinate with fellow passengers to stop on the way (if in a student car). Late-night snacks served each evening. More below.
- BED: Campers bring your own BEDDING (sleeping bag OR sheets, blanket too) OR Linens + Towel can rented for $20.
- BATH: Bring a TOWEL and bathroom essentials (shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.)
- WARM JACKET/LAYERS: evenings can be chilly (40°F/5°C)
- CLOTHES: Casual clothes and shoes
- SWIM/SPORTS: Saturday free time includes hiking, boating, sports. Bring sneakers, equipment, etc.
- SLEEP: Eye mask, ear plugs, white noise machine if you are a light sleeper
- READING/WRITING: Pens, paper, Bible (if you don’t have one, no problem) if you like!
- BOARD GAMES or other things to play!
FOOD?
- Dinner is NOT served on Friday evening. Please eat before, bring your own food/meal to eat on the bus, or (if in a student car) coordinate with your fellow passengers if you'll stop on the way. Snacks are provided every night at Toah Nipi.
- The retreat will serve a total of four meals (Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday breakfast) at the Toah Nipi dining hall. Besides the varied meal/main offerings, there's a salad bar/breakfast bar, as well as anytime sandwich, cereal, popcorn, tea, and coffee. Lunch and dinner feature a dessert item,
- Late-night snacks are provided on Friday and Saturday night evenings, and materials for s'mores (graham crackers, chocolate, marshmallows) are offered if there's a camp bonfire (weather permitting).
- The camp kitchen does their best to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies; please be sure to list and label allergens as opposed to food preferences. Please include relevant information on your registration and inform your campus staff.
